Frequently asked questions

here is some FAQ's

Do we operate on the motorway network ?

simple answer is yes, although we will always recommend customers try and make it off the motorway to a safe area if a slip road is available within a reasonable distance (1/2 mile or less)

Why do you ask for my tyre size when i only have a puncture ?

We will always ask for your vehicles tyre size incase the punctured tyre is damaged beyond repair i,e side wall damage, been run flat or soft.

this causes hidden damage that is only revealed by the tyre being removed from the wheel. so we will always bring a tyre in your vehicles size with us.

Will you bring a specific make of tyre ?

We can only carry a certain amount of tyre sizes and makes in stock at any time and as we are a small company we carry a smaller range of tyres but if you require a certain brand and model we will happily order it in for same day fitting (if available) but we will always try and find the best option for you.

Why did the fitter take before/after photos ?

We take before/after photos to compare any damages as in the past unscrupulous people have tried and failed to make a false claim of fitter damage being done to there wheel (yes they have tried), taking a photo of the wheel is a safeguard for us and you, we do ask sometimes if we can use the photos on our own social media, we will never photograph a customer themselves just the car, we will block any address names or numbers, we will always blur out the registration of the vehicle, but if you say no to them being posted we will always respect that. the side of a motorway/dual carriageway or any road are not places for a photo shoot for social media it is unsafe for you and our fitter.

Can i order a tyre to be fitted at home by appointment ?

you sure can, we will happily book a time and place for your tyre to be fitted.

How can i pay ?

We accept card , cash or bank transfer so don't panic there is always options for payment. (we wont accept cheques or ginger bottles)

Why is there a call out charge for a puncture ?

Simple answer is we have bills, no one likes paying for call outs but unfortunately insurance, fuel and time are chargeable, to come to you and fix a puncture is the exact amount of fuel, time , equipment and work that goes into a tyre change. We are always 100% upfront on our costs to you the customer.

What is your average ETA to me ?

We aim to be on scene with you with in 45 minutes if we have the tyre in stock, this time can be longer if we need to source a size of tyre from a supplier but at the time of your call we will explain everything and how long we will be and the cost of the tyre plus call out, we aim to have every customer mobile with in 1 hour of the initial call to us.

I'm nervous...

We understand that a tyre loosing pressure suddenly or a pot hole strike is a scary time and can make you feel vulnerable to the situation, we also understand you can be wary of talking to a stranger and them coming to see you when you are feeling this way , we will always give you the name of the fitter , the type of van he is driving and its reg if you ask, we always tell customers to give these details to a family member or a friend as well as to make you feel a little more at ease. we will never send a unmarked van, we will never send a vehicle with out sign writing, our vehicle will always look identical to the van in the photos on this website or our social media. we want you to feel safe that you are in good hands with us and know we have your safety and well being as one of our main interests. we ask that customers listen to any safety instructions and advice from the fitter when they arrive, where a safe area to stand is etc.
